Cold temperatures and fewer daylight hours mean that autumn and winter marquee hire comes with a few extra requirements – especially for wedding venues in rural and heritage settings. Luckily, we’ve got a range of marquees for a winter wedding, along with plenty of solutions to make arrangements stress free.
James and Jess wanted their wedding guests to dance the night away amongst sparkling lights, champagne bubbles and confetti – not rain, snow, frost or mud!
Soft ground underfoot called for boarded floors. Unpredictable skies above would make covered walkways between the marquee, toilets and car park a must. The bar area would need to be big enough to hold all the revellers – but it would need marquee heaters and heavy doors to keep the warmth in.
A number of protected trees at the chosen location would have to be avoided, too.
Our brief had to be adapted around COVID-19 rules, which had postponed Jess and James’ winter wedding from 2020 to 2021 and were still in force until the final hour.
