The brief
Time Marquees has a long-standing relationship with this prep school in London and regularly supply marquees to them.
As 2019 brought about a 30-year milestone, they wanted to throw a big bash for parents and teachers past and present. They were looking for a marquee to host a dinner and dance for 500 people – and they knew we could help.
They needed a venue that could handle both dining and dancing for such a large group, and our expertise in marquees with dance floors provided the ideal solution.
The solution
There was a large open space available on the school playing fields, but the PTA wanted to incorporate the pavilion. We created a courtyard space for a drinks reception between the pavilion and marquee, with festoon lights giving a celebratory ambience.
Our 15m x 36m marquee had a large dance floor in the centre and dining on either side. This layout gave every guest a great view of the action and encouraged everyone to join in once the music started. The bar was positioned in the pavilion, seamlessly linking the outside reception space with the marquee.
This is a prime example of how a marquee with a dance floor can transform a simple field into a fully equipped, stylish venue for hundreds of guests.
